Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what RahulStyleName does with your data. In short: a name you type is sent with your IP address to the operator’s name-data server to build results, a few choices stay in your browser, page votes are counted, and server logs are kept briefly. There are no ads, no Google Analytics and no tracking cookies.

The name you type

The styles are built by a name-data server run by the same operator as this site. When you type a name, that name and your IP address are sent to that server, which builds the results and adds the name to its name lists; popular names may appear on the site. When you copy a styled result, the copied text and your IP address are sent there too, so popular styles can be counted. On our own server the name is only added to daily totals, and your IP address is kept only as a one-way hash for one day to avoid counting you twice. We do not yet publish a fixed retention period for the name-data server; email us and we will ask for your data to be deleted. Please type a first name or nickname only, never your full name with personal details.

Kept in your browser

Styles you save and similar choices are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never reach us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Votes and notes

When you rate a page we keep only the total. A one-way hash of your IP address and the page is held for one day to stop repeat votes. Optional notes are kept with their time and page, up to the latest 300.

Server logs and Cloudflare

Access logs (IP address, time, page, browser) are kept for about 10 days for security, then deleted. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests and may set a short security cookie.

Email

Messages to [email protected] are used only to reply and are deleted on request.

Children

The site does not ask anyone for personal information. If you believe a child sent us personal details, email us and we will delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete data about you, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for readers in the EU and UK, the GDPR. Email [email protected]; we reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
